Evaluation of bonding performance of ultra high-performance concrete with fly ash content as overlay on normal strength concrete.

Abstract Ultra High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) has good mechanical strength and durability, so it can be the solution for an overlay material old materials that need to renewed. The problem with using UHPC as a construction is high price sustainability, partial replacement cement required reduce production costs, energy consumption, CO 2 gas emissions. Bonding performance important parameter must considered when applying material. bonding test of consists three tests: slant shear test, splitting tensile, direct tensile/pull-off test. results this study were compared standards ACI 546R-14 M.M. Sprinkel & C. Ozyildirim. Based on results, replacing 40% fly ash use because meets applicable standards. showed increase 27% in 37% tensile existing standard. Replacing also workability, reducing superplasticizers, costs by 18.4%, emission problems.
